Privet beards and meat thick jumpers
tawny hands like grumpy badgers
denounce the nestling nuzzling fish
with a jobs worthy net by an arcing swish

Craved upon up on the shore
living freely heretofore
squints in the break of another dawn
whiskey glasses thick and warm

Up and in and hauled and captured
a glint of the teen once enraptured
incisive bow crunch crumbling shingle
hands to shake, brows to wrinkle

A truth as cold as the earthly sea
is that men catch things to set them free
and the fishermen know freedom is never alone
on the vanishing horizon, in the deep unknown
