Covering Myself

My Texas land is finally peaceful  now
all bad thoughts that attacked
have departed from me

Every living thing is in
harmony with me now

My voice sings a wisdom chorus
within me turning my vision
towards the joyous sky

 The appearance of peacefulness
in the distance of my remaining years

Our lives are endless simply threads
pulling along lasting emotions

I cover myself with time …
