Beneath Paris’ Lights

Beneath Paris’ Lights

by KENNY MENORIAS

Gracious Paris, the soul heart of France
Beneath your warm lights where lovers dance
A shattered life written across your streets
A love that perished, a love once sweet

Lover lanes populated with contented souls
Our hearts were one with an exquisite goal
Decorate each life with genuine emotions
And paint our horizon with fervent devotion

Now . . .

You have desolated me within a hollow ground
Silently screaming for your caring gentle sound

With patience my shadow never will fade
Exceeding time and surpassing each decade
Memories still fresh, whispers of goodnight
A perpetual recollection, you I will invite

Bring back the romantic history of the night
As affectionate lovers beneath Paris’ Lights
