The Four Seasons (String Haiku)

The Four Seasons

by INGRID de KLERCK

I

amidst melting snow
flowers bud, days grow longer
foals and cubs are born

II

air, buzzing with life
bright tapestry of colors
adorns sun-drenched land

III

haze-covered meadows,
leaves change to orange and red
squirrels collect nuts

IV

snow enfolds hushed fields,
whilst animals hibernate
icicles sparkle

*A String Haiku is a series of Haiku’s that form a unity because of the theme.
